This diary was recorded from January 17 through February 6, 1938 by Andrew Jackson Greene. He began nearly all of his diary entries by reporting the weather that was experienced that day. Greene also recorded his morning routine, when he woke up, when he ate breakfast, and what time he began traveling to Boone to work at the Appalachian State Teachers College. His writings provide insight on community life in Watauga County through his writing on the churches, the happenings at the courthouse, and interaction with other community members.
