University Libraries Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) believes in providing access to the historical record in support of the teaching, learning, and research endeavors of the communities it serves. The SCRC aims to describe resources accurately and respectfully while adhering to inclusive resource descriptive practices. However, users should be advised that, due to the varied and historical nature of a vast number of resources in our collections, users may encounter content that is harmful or difficult to view. Moreover, many of our catalog records, digital object metadata, and finding aids were created years ago under different description standards. Users who encounter harmful or offensive language should contact the Special Collections Research Center.
