This image shows a student lighting a blow torch while working on a metal sculpture in a workroom in the Art Department at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in April 1978. The Art Department is located in the College of Fine and Applied Arts. It includes concentrations in clay, drawing, fibers, metals/jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture.
