Description

This image shows four contributing artists for an art exhibit by the Art Department at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the early to mid 1970s. Three women and one man are seen standing in front of a mounted work of art. Second from the right is Associate Professor of Art Marianne Suggs. The Art Department is located in the College of Fine and Applied Arts. It includes concentrations in clay, drawing, fibers, metals/jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture, and often displays student and faculty art in the Catherine Smith Gallery and the Turchin Center for Visual Arts.
