This image shows a contributing artist posing with her painting for an art exhibit by the Art Department at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the early to mid 1970s. The Art Department is located in the College of Fine and Applied Arts. It includes concentrations in clay, drawing, fibers, metals/jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture, and often displays student and faculty art in the Catherine Smith Gallery and the Turchin Center for Visual Arts.
