Description

This image shows two members of the Art Department at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in January 1972, standing with works of art to be displayed during a faculty art exhibit. The image includes Noyes Long and Lawrence Edwards standing behind framed paintings. The Art Department is located in the College of Fine and Applied Arts. It includes concentrations in clay, drawing, fibers, metals/jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture, and often displays student and faculty art in the Catherine Smith Gallery and the Turchin Center for Visual Arts.
