This image shows three of the attendees of a conference standing at the buffet table in the dining room in the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center, built 1972, at Appalachian State University (1967-current). All three are putting food from serving trays onto plates. The Broyhill Inn and Conference Center served as an inn and the home of the Center for Continuing Education. Standing in the foreground are, from right to left, Gov. James Holshouser, Ms. Patricia Holshouser (wife of Gov. Holshouser) and Mr. William C. Friday, President of the University of North Carolina.
