This image shows part of the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Homecoming Parade in 1965. A float shaped like a large birthday cake can be seen driving down the King Street in Boone, NC. A marching band can be seen in the background, and onlookers can be seen standing on the right and left. Local businesses line the south side of King Street.
