This image shows part of the Appalachian State University (1967-current) Homecoming Parade. Appalachian State Junior Varsity Cheerleaders are seen riding on a convertible down King Street in Boone, NC, with three male students with bands tied around their heads. Onlookers can be seen standing in the background, and local businesses, including Carolina Pharmacy and Lid Boutique, line the south side of King Street. The image was taken during the 1970s.
