Description

This image shows part of the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Homecoming Parade in the 1970s. ROTC students can be seen marching down the street, carrying a flag reading "Boone," followed by a car filled with students waving pom-poms, on King Street in Boone, NC. Onlookers can be seen standing on the left, and local businesses, including Carolina Pharmacy and Lid Boutique, line the south side of King Street. The image was taken during the 1970s.
