This image shows the dedication ceremony for Kidd Brewer Stadium at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Kidd Brewer can be seen shaking hands with Appalachian State Chancellor John E. Thomas (1979-1993). The stadium was originally built in 1962 as Conrad Stadium. It was rebuilt in 1979, and renamed Kidd Brewer in 1988. Kidd Brewer was the former head coach at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). He retired in 1938 to pursue a career in business.
