Description

This image shows Chapell Wilson, director of Graduate Studies, in his office in the second Administration Building, built 1924, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). Wilson is sitting at a desk, pointing to a line in a pamphlet, while a student leans over the desk, pointing at a line in another pamphlet. Wilson taught education and psychology at Appalachian Training School (1903-1925) from 1922 to 1925, served as director of the Demonstration Schools at Appalachian State Normal School (1925-1929) and at Appalachian State Teachers College, and served as the first dean of Graduate Studies.
