Description

This image shows a student standing by a display board in one of the classrooms at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967), making a presentation for the 4-H Club. The display shows reads, "Summary: Get Electrical Wiring Correct by: 1- Checking fuses, 2- Checking for overloaded circuits, 3- Replacing faulty wiring, 4- Installing central meter system." A four-leaf clover with the 4-H Club logo is on the student's shirt. Behind him is a board holding several light bulbs, switches, and a fuse box, used to display the effects of correct and incorrect wiring. Appalachian State's Department of Mathematics and Physics included several classes on electricity, magnetism, and light.
