Wrestling Match, 1955-56, photo 2

This image shows two men wresting on a mat in the middle of the Men's Gymnasium, built 1934, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). A referee watches from the sidelines, and students and attendees watch in the background from bleachers and on the second level. The wrestling team met in the Men's Gymnasium, built 1934, until December 1955, when Broome-Kirk Gymnasium was completed.
