This image shows a man showing a projector for glass slides and specimens to a woman at the Audio-Visual Center at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). Large glass slides of different sizes are spread out on the table next to the projector, and a screen is seen in the background in front of a chalkboard. The Audio-Visual Center was located in the Education Building, built 1925, and provided technical assistance as well as educational films for students and teachers. This image was taken in the mid-1950s.
