This image shows Interim Chancellor Cratis Williams standing with a member of the faculty outside the Varsity Gymnasium, built 1968, before the May 1980 commencement ceremony at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Other attendees can be seen in the background. Commencement ceremonies were held in Varsity Gymnasium since the building's completion in 1968. Speaking with Dr. Williams is Mr. Reginal Weber, Professor of Accounting.
