This image shows a group of attendees walking down the Promenade past Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925, on the day of the commencement ceremonies at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967), circa 1965. Two women and a man can be seen walking in front, with other women behind them. Commencement was held in the Broome-Kirk Gymnasium until 1968. In the center foreground is Mr. Bob Allen, Director of Public Affairs.
