Description

This image shows three attendees of the commencement ceremonies can be seen standing outdoors at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967), circa 1965. Appalachian State President William Howard Plemmons (1955-1969) can be seen standing on the right, and O. K. Webb, a professor of Social Studies, stands in the center. The second Administration Building, built 1924, can be seen in the background. Commencement was held in the Broome-Kirk Gymnasium, built 1955, until 1968.
