This image shows students holding commencement programs lined up to enter the Broome-Kirk Gymnasium, built 1955, for the commencement ceremony at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). In the background, Rankin Science Hall, built 1963, can be seen. Newland Hall, built 1939, can be seen on the left.
