White Residence Hall

Description

This image shows the northern side of White Residence Hall, built in 1924, at Appalachian State Teachers College. White was a dormitory for women and housed up to 150 women. It included showers, baths, electric lights, and steam heat. It was located across from Welborn Cafeteria, built in 1925 on the Promenade, and was demolished in 1968. Dauph-Blan Hall, built in 1929, can be seen on the right.
