This image shows one of the commencement speakers speaking at the commencement ceremony at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in May 1977. Commencement was held at the Varsity Gymnasium, built 1968. In the background is a painting of Yosef, the Appalachian State mascot. Seated on the right under the Exit sign is President William H. Plemmons.
