This image shows part of the June 6, 1968 commencement ceremony at Appalachian State University (1969-current). Dr. Felix C. Robb, director of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, can be seen standing behind a podium on stage addressing the graduates. It was one of the first graduating classes of Appalachian State as an official university, and was one of the last held in Broome-Kirk Gymnasium, built 1955.
