Bicentennial, 1976, band

This image shows the College Band playing on the lawn at the Bicentennial celebration in 1976 at Appalachian State University (1969-current). W. Kerr Scott Hall, built 1961, can be seen in the background. The United States Bicentennial was celebrated on Sunday, July 4, 1976, the 200th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.
