Dougherty Administration Building, built 1968, in 1976 at Appalachian State University (1969-current). Seated in the background on the left is Dr. Braxton Harris (Vice President for Student Affairs). Seated next to him is Mr. Robert Leake (President of the Student Government Association). The United States Bicentennial was celebrated on Sunday, July 4, 1976, the 200th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.
