Description

This image shows the student exhibit celebrating North Carolina's early history as one of the thirteen colonies during the Bicentennial Celebrations in 1976. Items are arranged in the display case at the University Bookstore, built 1969, at Appalachian State University (1969-current). This display was part of a student display competition. Sign against wall reads, "North Carolina--First in Freedom?" and includes posters, books, and items relating to colonial North Carolina.
