The band is seated on the right, and the audience is seated in chairs and on bleachers on the left and in the back. The man standing with the baton and directing the College Band is Dr. William G. Spencer, Professor of Music. The Band was one of four musical organizations at Appalachian State, including the Appalachian Double Octet, College Choir, and College Orchestra.
