This image shows a parade float seen at Homecoming, 1956, parked in front of a wooden house. The float bears yearbook photographs of the class of 1930, topped with a ball reading "1st BS Degree," with a banner on the bottom, reading, "Class '30 started ball rolling." The class of 1930 was the first graduating class of Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) with college-level training. The five students responsible for the float pose in front. This float was judged the winner among Homecoming floats in 1956.
