This image shows the Homecoming court of 1956 posing outside. Shown from left to right are Carolyn Medlin, Jean Abbott, queen Carol Jean Preslar, Dolly Koontz, Carolyn Wall, and Sybil Thomas. Homecoming was an annual event at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967), including plays, a parade, a dance, a football game, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
