This image shows the 1956-57 Mountaineers at the Homecoming game played at College Field at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) on October 15, 1956. Onlookers can be seen seated on bleachers to the right and in the far background to the left. In the background, Chapell Wilson Hall, built 1938, and Smith-Wright Hall, built 1940, can be seen. College Field was located south of the Administration Building, built 1924, approximately where Rankin Science Hall was later built in 1963.
