Class of 1930, Tom W. Hayes

This image shows the yearbook photograph of Tom W. Hayes of Purlear, North Carolina. He attended Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) and graduated in 1930 with a bachelor of science degree. He was vice-president and treasurer of the Rankin-Wilson Literary Society, president of the Wilkes County Club, and president of the Black Bear Fraternity. This image was reproduced from the 1930 Rhododendron (p. 27) in 1956.
