Cheerleaders performed at sporting events, orientation, and in the annual homecoming parades. From left to right, front row shows Janet Sue Houck, Joanne Shoup, Rachel Dancy, Betsy Capel, and Julia Ross. Standing, chief Bob Goforth, Otis Caroll, Bill Honeycutt, Bill Rhinehart, and chief Bob Sigmon. The Dougherty House, built 1903, is visible in the background.
