This image shows 1953 Mountaineers football players posing on the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) football field, known as College Field, located south of the Administration Building, built 1924, approximately where Rankin Science Hall was later built in 1963. Chapell Wilson Hall, built 1938, can be seen in the background.
