This image shows the co-captains of the 1952-53 Mountaineers football team and their coach on the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) football field, known as College Field, located south of the Administration Building, built 1924, approximately where Rankin Science Hall was later built in 1963. Standing from left to right are Jim Everidge, head coach E. C. Duggins, and Jack Groce. This image appears in "The Appalachian, September 26, 1952.
