This image shows the College Employees Banquet, December 18, 1953, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967). Two ASTC employees stand in the center of the image. J. D. Rankin, dean of the College, can be seen in the middle of the table on the left. The woman standing on the right is Dorothy E. Kemp of the Music Department. The banquet was held at Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925.
