This image shows Mrs. Madeline Bradford, president of the Wake County chapter of the Alumni Association, presenting John Honbarrier with a ham. Seen standing in the middle is Daniel Jay Whitener, dean of Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) from 1955 to 1964. The ham was donated by J. C. Goodnight of Goodnight Brothers of Boone, NC.
