This image shows Dean Daniel Jay Whitener sitting with Dr. Robert Randall (Director of Placement) in his office in the second Administration Building, built 1924, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) on December 5, 1962. Whitener taught history and social studies at Appalachian State since 1932, and served as dean of the College from 1955 to 1964.
