This image shows five chaperones for a teenage dance sponsored by the Alumni Association during the Homecoming celebration at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967), sitting outside Chapell Wilson Hall, built 1938, in the 1960s. English Professor John MacBryde can be seen sitting with Mrs. MacBryde in the back, and high school students Maria Erneston (daughter of Dr. Nicholas Erneston, Professor of Music and Dean of the College of Fine and Applied Arts), Phyllis MacBryde, Faris Corey, and Monty Blanton (daughter of Dr. Roy Blanton, Professor of Education).
