This image shows John MacBryde, associate professor in the Department of English in the College of Arts and Sciences at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in the 1960s. He can be seen sitting in an office. MacBryde began teaching at Appalachian State in 1962 and retired in 1974.
