This image shows Virginia Linney, professor in the Department of Music in the College of Fine and Applied Arts at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the 1960s. Linney began teaching music at Appalachian State in 1929 and retired in 1968. She also served as director of the Women's Glee Club, later the University Singers.
