Homecoming Game, 1960, cheerleaders

This image shows the cheerleaders and the Mountaineer football team running onto the field at the start of the Homecoming game at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in October 1960. The Men's Gymnasium, built 1934, can be seen in the background. College Field was located on the present site of Rankin Science Hall and was replaced in 1962 by Conrad Stadium.
