Description

This image shows one of the attendees for the induction of E. J. Justice into the Appalachian Hall of Fame, standing outside the second Administration Building, built 1924, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) on May 5, 1962. Attending for the family of E. J. Justice were Judge J. Will Pless, Jr., of McDowell County, North Carolina, Mrs. J. Will Pless, Edwin Pless, and Dr. and Mrs. William S. Justice. The ceremony took place in I. G. Greer Hall, built 1950, and was sponsored by the Alumni Association. Senator E. J. Justice was one of the members of the General Assembly to support the bill to create Appalachian Training School as a state-sponsored institution in 1903.
