This image shows three men standing by a table bearing cut watermelon for the annual Watermelon Cutting at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the mid-1960s. Graydon Eggers, chairman of the English Department, can be seen standing on the right with Steve Gabriel (Director of the Office of Financial Aid) on the left and James Jones (Athletic Director and a Professor of Accounting) in the middle. Attendees can be seen in the background. Chapell Wilson Hall, built 1938, can be seen in the distance.
