This image shows five people standing in the physical therapy room in Watauga County Hospital in Boone, NC. Frank Rudisill, president of the Alpha Chi chapter of the National Honor Society, presenting members of the Boone Junior Woman's Club with a check for $200 for the club's fund to purchase physical therapy equipment. Ms. Barbara Webb is presenting the check while Dr. Lee Nichols on the far right looks on. A physical therapy tub can be seen in the background on the left. This image appears in the October 25, 1973, edition of "The Appalachian" (p. 7).
