Title

Honors Class, 1986, photo 1

Description

This image shows students attending a honors class in Coffey Hall, built 1953, at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1986-87. Students can be seen sitting in couches and chairs with notebooks in their laps. Posters for Coffey Residence Hall, most puns on coffee advertisements, can be seen on the walls. The Honors Program is an academic and residential community for high achieving students and is open to freshmen, transfer students, and current students at Appalachian State. It was located in Coffey Hall before being moved to East Residence Hall. This image appears in the 1987 Rhododendron (p. 115).
