This image shows the reception following a meeting of the College Republicans at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the early 1970s. Attendees can be seen standing in a room talking in groups and eating snacks. Previously known as the Young Republicans, the College Republicans focused on getting students involved in the political process and and promoting the Republican platform. On the far right holding cup and with hand to mouth is Dr. James Hathaway, faculty in Department of Management and Marketing.
