This image shows onlookers watching the Appalachian State University (1967-current) Homecoming parade in October 1968. They can be seen standing in the hill in front of the B. B. Dougherty Administration Building. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
