Homecoming Parade, 1964, photo 7

This image shows a float in the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Homecoming Parade on the Promenade in October 1964. Four students can be seen standing on a float with two striped goal posts on it. One of the students is in academic dress and another is dressed as a football player. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
