This image shows a float in the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Homecoming Parade on the Promenade in October 1964. The side of the float reads, "Fountain of Knowledge." Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
