Homecoming Parade, 1964, photo 2

This image shows the Appalachian Chemistry Society float riding down the Promenade during the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Homecoming Parade in October 1964. A lamp can be seen on the float, and the second Administration Building, built 1924, can be seen in the background. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
