This image shows part of the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Homecoming Parade in October 1964. Cheerleaders and the Marching Band can be seen moving down the Promenade. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
